Why Captian Higgins is my Favorite Parasitic Worm - The Oatmeal

So I've been visiting The Oatmeal alot recently. He's a comic artist with alot of really great stuff, and even got a gif of a koala making sweet love to a goat posted on "CNN, Sports Illustrated, Forbes, The Guardian, Mashable, Business Insider, MSNBC, and a bumload of other mainstream news sources."

Such talent deserves to be shared with the world! Here's a fantastic comic about the adventurous life of Dicroceolium dendriticum (A parasitic flatworm).

Epic Leader Wall papers

The following are a bunch of wallpapers I had with a similar theme. I'm not sure what theme that would be :S, a beast/leader theme I suppose. Anyway, If you want to see the full sized picture, just click on it. The Churchill picture with the American flag is my favorite.

Close Up Cute Pictures of Jumping Spiders

Many people hate spiders, but jumping spiders are an exception, at least they are for me.  Their big, forward facing eyes just scream cute, don't you think?

Tarantula I used to own.

I used to own a tarantula a while back.  She never was named, and eventually had to be re-homed due to an issue with my landlord at the time.

This is her, in the picture to the right.  It's a shame the picture is as poor a quality as it is, as she's in a really nice looking pose here (There's a better picture at the end of the article).  I apologize for that as the only thing I had at the time to take pictures was my cell phone.  O, and don't let the for fool you, the tarantula is much bigger than the size comparison here shows.  The fork is just magnified due to a
combination of the cage's glass angle and the lighting (actually....now that I look at it, thats a spatula).  The little girl was actually about the size of my hand, minus the fingers.  So not a huge tarantula, but not something I would want to get loose.

Croc vs Duckling ... Duck Wins!

Take a look at the bravery of the duckling facing a crocodile.

Now, I don't usually consider ducks to be overly smart creatures, and even less so after this.  That being said, you can't argue with results.  This little fellow had a crocodile on his tail, but instead of running, decides instead that it's a better idea to peck the advancing wall of teeth first, presumably in hopes of chipping them or something, and then proceed to run as fast as his adorable little feet will carry him.  I do have to say tho, for such a dim duck, he's a cute little bugger.
